BITA implemented 9 days-long workshops at district, Sub-district, and camp levels.’ During the reporting period at Ukhiya, Ratnapalong and Jaliapalong, Teknaf Sadar, and Camp-17, 20 & 20 Ext. The objective of the workshop was to orient government and non-government officials on Child Protection and SGBV issues and prevention measures at district, sub-district, and camp levels and explore child protection-related risks and mitigation ways in their working areas. Honorable UNO, DSS officers, Women and child affairs officers, probation officers, social workers, Local government representatives, CiC, ACiC, different NGO & INGO representatives, relevant project stakeholders, representatives from youth club and CBCPCs participated in the workshop
Orientation on SGBV including use of dignity kit with girls and adolescent girls.
Orientation sessions on SGBV, including the use of a dignity kit (menstrual hygiene kit), had been conducted with 1580 adolescent girls. After the orientation dignity kit was provided to the participants. The main objective of the orientation was to give adolescent girls a preliminary idea about SGBV and the usage of dignity kit items. The participants have been selected as per selection criteria and with the consent of their parents. Through the session, they received information related to SGBV, such as a basic understanding of SGBV; types of SGBV including Rape, Sexual Assault, Physical Assault; Forced/Early Marriage; Psychological and emotional abuse; Strategies for prevention; the importance of using dignity kit for hygiene and how to use those.
