29th Issue January-March 2022

We are happy to published BITA E-Newsletter 29th Issue. 17th March 2022 was the National Children Day and the Birthday of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the Father of the Nation. BITA celebrated the glorious day under its’ constitution also participated in organizing program from Local administration. Chittagong District administration also arranged a rally & Cultural event on that day to celebrate the birthday of the Father of the Nation where BITA attend the rally & cultural program. Under BITA program the underprivileged children & youth are also celebrate in the occasion knowing about Bangabandhu. The children are realized his political and social life and devotion for Bangladesh. BITA also observed the World Theatre Day 2022 by cultural program and preforming theatre show. Showing. The grassroot artist are performed theatre, children are playing puppet etc. BITA arranged the program in the BCCT (BITA Culture and communication Trust) in Patya & BITA working area at Ukhiya & Teknaf in Cox’s Bazar District. BITA believe that cultural communication is the powerful way to raise peoples voice for claiming rights.

The activity of ‘Information Service Provider’ ISP CIAS Project

BITA (Bangladesh Institute of Theater Arts) has been implementing Community Information and Accountability Services Project (CIASP)since 2018 at Rohingya FDMN (Forcibly Displaced Myanmar Nationals) camp as well as the host community in Cox’s Bazar which is funded by C4D ,UNICEF. There are ten Information feedback Center (IFC) around ten camps, these IFC’s are being run by project staff whose designation is Information Service Provider ISP. The basic activity of the IFC are CFQR-Complain, Feedback, quarry and Referral mechanism. The community people of the camp come to visit IFC with different issue specially to know the information about different agencies service in the camp. Besides IFC, this project is also do the work with a religious part. Through this part Community Engagement Facilitator (CEF) are being engaged to make the Rohingya people conscious as like as the other part.

26th Issue January-March 2021

It is pleasure that BITA E-news letter 26th issue is going to publish. Though it is a complicated situation for COVID-19 we are trying to continue the E-news letter. We are working for youth empowerment from a long time. In this regard we are providing pre-vocational training for skill development of the young person. BITA have taken a project titled BGD_ Accenture Youth Employability Skills to provide life skills development and basic ICT training to 10-14 years old children who have dropped out of school. But in the COVID-19 situation we cannot start the training in the field level in full phase. We are waiting for opening but continuing primary activities.

25th Issue January-March 2021

Shyam-Shefali open stage and an International house built in BITA Cultural and Communication Trust (BCCT) in Patiya to memorizing the pioneer of Chattogram local song’s singer Shyam Sundar Baisnab and Shefali Ghosh. The main credit to spread the Chittagong local song in the world owned by Shyam Sundar Baisnab and Shefali Ghosh. Recently state minister of cultural affairs consoled to give a grant for the structural shape of the Shyam-Shefali open stage in Patiya established by BITA as well as flourished the library of BCCT.

24 th Issue October – December 2020

ROSC-2 project arranged an awareness workshop on 22 August 2020 at the Circuit House of Chittagong. BITA-ROSC school CCF and teacher and officers attended in the workshop. The Chief guest of the workshop was Mrs Yeasmin Pervin Tibriji, DC(In-charge), Chattogram. The special guest of the program was Md. Mahbub Hasan Shahin, (Deputy Secretary) Project Director (Additional charge) ROSC (Phase-2) Project. The workshop presided over Mr. Jahir Uddin Chowdhury, Asst. district Primary Education Officer. There are also attended in the workshop Md. Moshrakul Alam Assistant Director ROSC (Phase-2) project, Kazi Sultan ahmed, Deputy Director, Save the Children ROSC-2 project TA and Focal person EYE Program, save the Children ,ROSC-2 project supervisor Mr. Sukumar Das. Project Director said that ROSC teachers are front line warrior. He give thanks to the teacher for continue the education activity by home visit at the time of COVID-19 pandemic situation by maintain health rules. Chief guest said to implement the Bangabandhu’s dream everybody should do his responsibility honestly and sincerely. She advised to give the moral education, to develop their mentality, to ensure quality education, to develop the humanity and mentality of the learners. She also advised to develop skill of the teacher. She give inspiration to the teacher and discuss the social position of the women.

23nd Issue July-September 2020

BITA (Bangladesh Institute of Theatre Arts) conducted an online research to identify the livelihood condition of Artist in several sector in the COVID-19 pandemic situation. Main stakeholders of the research were creative artist. The vision of the survey was aware the Gov’t, Non-Gov’t organizations personnel to prepare guideline and the living condition of artist in the COVID-19 situation. 47 districts from 8 divisions covered in this research.

22nd Issue April- June 2020

BITA has launched E-Leaning Initiatives for inspiring the juveniles during corona epidemic from a platform titled “We Are.” To make the juveniles aware on ‘Generate Awareness to the youths on Covid-19 and digital literacy.’ It’s an innovative initiative to aware the young persons of prevention from Corona virus.
This program is being conducted based on 5 subjects as Self-protection from Covid-19, Cultural Motivation, Psychological wellbeing (particular emphasis on stress management), Violence & Gender, Basic understanding of digital literacy and online safety.
This online based youth programs were launched from June 8, 2020 and 5 youth trainers are conducting the programs. In the meantime, eight batches and 133 trainees received these training in each session.

21st Issue January – March 2020

BITA youth group of EWASC project arranged an awareness program on prevention from Corona Virus in the Pahartali area of Chattogram. They announced by the hand mike how to prevent from Corona virus and distributed the leaflets to the peoples.
BITA youth groups has taken some initiatives in 29 no and 9 no ward for aware the people of our working area, they initiated an awareness program on 09.03.2020 in 9 no ward 22.03.2020 in 29 no ward. They announced by the hand mike about the prevention step from Corona Virus. They distributed musk (300 musk), leaflet and using poster for aware the people.
Our youth group distributed relief (commodity) to the poor people (about 30 families) who are now staying in the house as per instruction of Gov’t on 28.03.2020 and 29.03.2020 in 29 no ward Halapukur Par.
