Innovation of last two years

BITA initiated various unique interventions on youth empowerment and child protection as well as ICT training, socialization, social cohesion, youth entrepreneurship, holistic and safe environment for the well-being and development of children and adolescents in last two years. Those are as bellows-

MTC:

MTC (Mobile Training Centre) is an innovative intervention for producing the ICT training to the out of school children in the slum area. Underprivileged children who have no scope to get ICT training by their own initiative as their guardian’s low income. For implement MTC a bus with well decorated managed and it is go to the doorsteps of the students so that they do not go far for receiving training, seating arrangement and Laptop are available in the bus. ICT trainer and Life skill providing trainer give training to the students in the bus. Through MTC, training providing on Socio Emotional Learning, Growth mindset, digital skills & digital literacy. After training interested students linked with schools again for continuation of their education.

Social Hub

A social hub is a space where young people can socialize, learn and share skills with each other. They also learn to negotiate and engage in problem solving and conflict resolution to equip them with peace building skills. The social hubs bring Rohingya and Bangladeshi adolescents together to learn from each other’s perspectives, share ideas on how to help their communities, involve in volunteering and become agents of social change.

Child Friendly Space (CFS)

Child Friendly Space (CFS) is a safe place for children in the community where they can express their opinion and feelings better also in the JF-CPiE project. Some CFS established by community contribution (Land provided by community and structural development by project), some are in rental basis. Currently number of 40 CFS are running under the project. Trained CFS facilitators are mainly facilitating the CFS level activities. Community based officers monitor the CFS activities. It have open from 9.30 am to 5.00 pm and 05/06 days in a week. Under the center different ages children come and involved with various activities. The CFS base focused activities are like PSS activity (Structural module base session and non-Structural free play activities), Parents meeting, day observance and others creative activity including community engagement.

Caregivers Training Organized at Ramgati

East Char Neyamat Community Disaster Management Committee (CDMC) group in Ramgoti upazila in Laxmipur district arranged a training on take care of older and disable persons in the family. 26 volunteer attended in the training. The training organized by CDMC member. They proposed BITA willingly to give the technical support of the training. It is one of the achievement of BITA. We could to motivate the people (CDMC member) to take any step which is better for the community. They are the very interested to arrange the training in which family have older person. The content of the training was the strategy and its practical side to take care of older and person with disable in the family. All of the volunteer assumed the strategy to take care of sick older persons in the family. They learnt about the physical exercise for maintain good health. Participants of the training were very happy to learn the strategy to take care of older and person with disable. BITA is working for older persons for a long time in Laxmipur. By this time BITA worked for older persons on their happy life.


Multi-Purpose Child and Adolescents Centre (MPCAC)

The Multi-Purpose Child and Adolescents Centre (MPCAC) is committed to providing a holistic and safe environment for the well-being and development of children and adolescents. MPCAC place has an importance on child safeguarding. Rigorous background checks for staff, volunteers, and anyone interacting with the children ensure a safe and secure environment. Well managed reporting mechanism has established already among community people to identify and address any signs of abuse, neglect, or exploitation. The activities of the MPCAC are Semi structure session, PSS, Outdoor activities, Child club activities, Training and workshop, Parental Involvement and Community engagement.
