BITA implemented the “Fight Slavery and Trafficking-In-Person (FSTIP)” project from 2022. Through this project,BITA reached 10 lakh people through 3,600 community radio and media broadcasts. BITA works with a population of 1,009,730 to enhance the capacity of existing Peer Leader Group networks and establish new ones as needed. These efforts strengthen monitoring and accountability in implementing National Plans of Action to combat human trafficking, promote safe migration, and end child marriage. Through increased community awareness, people are better informed about trafficking risks and safe migration practices. Additionally, collaboration with DEMO enables returning migrants to access skill training and engage in income-generating activities. BITA also organizes events marking key international observances, engaging communities and stakeholders through discussions and puppet shows to raise awareness on trafficking, child marriage, and migration safety.
